Scattered Trees.

Check these guys out. They're pretty much my favorite band ever. Whenever I want to choreograph something I usually listen to their music for awhile...always gets my creative side flowin. Last year I brought them to MSUM for a concert! It pretty much made my dreams come true. This year for the dance show we're featuring their music for the first half and have created a small company of dancers to perform solos, men's and women's dances, and other group work. It's getting down to the wire so we're cracking down hard now. It's going to take a lot of time and hard work, but it's going to all be worth it in the end.

Lauren Cullen took these photos for a project and I just love them so I thought I'd share! This would be more of the "Life" side of this blog. I'm just going to go off a little on how wonderful my roommate is. Miss Cullen is very inspiring. From designing in our apartment to taking photos she is constantly challenging my creativity. Having her in my life has made me not only a stronger person, but a better dancer. She encourages me to do what I love and think outside the box. She is starting her own photography studio called Nana Studios. If you click on some of the pictures on my site it will lead you to hers! A lot of her thoughts towards the philosophy of her photography studio are aspects that I aim for in opening up my own dance studio. Both Lauren and I don't want to be "typical" but rather we strive to be "unique" in our work.
